Full load

We traveled about an hour today to pick up a donation to the weaving guild.  The back of my CRV, with the back seat down, was LOADED.

In order to fit it all, we removed most of the yarn from boxes and fit it into whatever nook and cranny we could find.  There are 2 table looms, 2 inkle looms, a squirrel cage swift, and a warping board hidden in there, along with a large knitting machine and other miscellaneous.  One of the inkle looms I’m not sure is an inkle loom.

There appears to be a piece missing on the end closest to the camera.  I’m also not sure what that red piece close to the other end is used for.  It swivels around, like the hand of a clock, but there’s nothing for it to catch on.

Tomorrow I’ll begin the task of going through the yarn, making sure it’s all in usable shape, and sorting it by fiber if possible.  Then hopefully stacking it neat enough in boxes that I can park in the garage again.

That looks like a tablet weaving loom, and I wish I had it! The nails are the warp spreader, the warps would be weighted off that end. The little red arrow is moved to point in whichever direction you are turning the cards, so you know where you left off. Not positive what the arm sticking up (with the hole in it) is for.
